Model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley stays picture perfect amongst the rubble on set of Transformers 3

Those around her may have been covered in dust and battered and bruised, but Rosie Huntington-Whiteley proved why she is one of the most in-demand models by remaining picture perfect.

The Victoria's Secret model turned actress was flawless with not a hair out of place as she and co-star Shia LaBeouf filmed an action-packed scene at Culver City studios in California yesterday.

She remained unruffled while Shia sported a bloodied, soot covered face during the shoot in front of a blue screen.

The duo appeared to be filming special effects stunts for scenes they shot on location in Chicago back in July.

They wore the same clothing as on the previous shoot, with 23-year-old Rosie glamorous in grey skinny jeans and a white zip-up jacket.

Shia, 24, was in a grey leather jacket, blue T-shirt ad jeans. Continuity was the focus with make-up teams carefully re-applying cuts to his forehead and cheek.

The actors chatted in between takes as they waited for crews to set up the sequence in which Shia and Rosie are slammed up against a building during an explosion before taking cover.

They were spotted running through the streets of Chicago over the summer amongst rubble and piles of concrete, and filmed the explosion scene yesterday in front of a special effects blue screen.

The pair looked deep in conversation later in the day as they hung out outside the studios.

Rosie and Shia have become friends throughout the five month-long shoot, and she is said to enjoy giving her boyfriend Jason Statham a hard time about her friendship with the Wall Street 2 star.

A friend of the couple told the Daily Mail: ‘Rosie jokes about how sexy Shia is because she knows it winds Jason up.'

The couple, who went public with their romance at the Coachella music festival in California in April, have set up home together in LA.

They were even spotted furniture shopping while she visited Jason, who is filming new movie Safe, in New York last month.

'Jason wants to make sure he holds on to Rosie, and moving in is a sign of his commitment to her,' the source told the Mail in August.

Statham, 37, will be keeping a close eye on his girlfriend after it emerged a few weeks ago that Shia had split from girlfriend Carey Mulligan, who he met on the set of another film.

The couple, who dated for a year, started a romance on the set of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, last year.

Victoria's Secret star Rosie signed on to the franchise after star of the previous two films Megan Fox stepped down.

Speculation has raged in the industry over whether she quit or was pushed, after she bad-mouthed producer Michael Bay to the press and was said to be widely disliked on set.

Shia LaBeouf gets bruised and battered as he shoots aerial scenes for Transformers 3 (photo)

In the first two Transformers films, Shia LaBeouf's character Sam Witwicky has battled the deadliest of robots and nearly died on several occasions.

And it seems the third installment of the film franchise will live up to its predecessors, as LaBeouf showed as he filmed intricate aerial scenes on the set of the movie in Los Angeles yesterday.

After he took his harness off, LaBeouf had painful looking red marks down the side of his torso

The 24-year-old actor was strapped securely into a harness before being hoisted into the air to shoot the scenes in front of a huge blue screen.

LaBeouf was also seen shooting scenes alongside co-star Patrick Dempsey.

Malkovich added: 'I'd seen the first Transformers, which I liked and thought it was fun, and then Lorenzo and producer Mark Vahradian approached me about it. I like working with them very much.'

Since it started filming, Transformers 3 has caused controversy through the replacement of former lead role Megan Fox as well as a series of injuries which have occurred on set.

However, fans are still desperate to catch a glimpse of the new movie, and seen keen to see how British model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley will adapt to playing Fox's role.

The Title of TRANSFORMERS 3 Is “TRANSFORMERS: THE DARK OF THE MOON”

Transformers 3 now has its official title and that title is: Transformers: The Dark of the Moon. TFW2005 first discovered the title through the listing of some upcoming movie tie-in novels, “Transformers: The Dark of the Moon – Secret of the Autobots“, “Transformers: The Dark of the Moon – Autobots Betrayed!“, and “Transformers: The Dark of the Moon: Invasion of the Decepticons” (all three novels are set to be released on May 17, 2011). We have now confirmed the title with sources close to the production. Nothing is known about the plot of the third film and the title doesn’t really provide any hints. Personally, I think the title “The Dark of the Moon” would work just as well for a sexy R&B album.

Transformers: The Dark of the Moon is in 3D, directed by Michael Bay, and stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Turturro, Alan Tudyk, Ken Jeong, Patrick Dempsey, and John Malkovich.  Hit the jump for a brief recap on what we know so far about the film, which opens July 1, 2011.

    * Characters that die stay dead
    * Bay says “This one really builds to a final crescendo. It’s not three multiple endings.” He goes on to say, “As a trilogy, it really ends.  It could be rebooted again, but I think it has a really killer ending.”
    * The villain is Shockwave
    * The movie features a  space race between the U.S.S.R. and the USA
    * They aim to upgrade the franchise with a more coherent story and less goofball humor

Josh Duhamel Praises 'Transformers 3' Newbie Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

"I've seen about 10 minutes of it — just the stuff we shot in Chicago — and it's pretty awesome," he revealed to MTV News.

And, while he kept the details scant, he did promise that fans won't be disappointed by the blockbuster, due out next July.

"It's all in Michael Bay's head, so you never know what the film's going to turn out like, but judging by the script and what we've shot, it's, I think, every bit as good, if not better than, the first two," he declared.

Co-star Shia LaBeouf sang similar praises of the film to MTV News recently, noting he had also seen footage and was blown away.

"It's the best movie we've made out of the three, by far," LaBeouf gushed. "I'm super-proud of this movie, man. ... It's balls out. This is the best movie we've made, period."

Not only does Duhamel promise a great flick, but he is very excited by the addition of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as Megan Fox's replacement for the film's female lead, an addition that LaBeouf has been equally stoked about.

"I think she's doing a great job," Duhamel shared. "I love her attitude. I think she's a good actress. I think she's perfect for the part."

Shia LaBeouf Sees 'Positives And Negatives' To 'Transformers' Re-Casting

And while Fox told MTV News that she "might be a little jealous when I see somebody kissing my Shia," LaBeouf acknowledged that there are both upsides and downsides to smooching with another actress while alien robots battle around them.

"I think there's positives and negatives to her not being [in the movie]," said LaBeouf, who was at the Toronto Film Festival to promote "Wall Street 2." "It's awesome that we get the discovery again. I think when everybody's vetted and everybody's been through these wars, then that discovery of the first film is nonexistent. It's kind of beautiful in that we get a new set of eyes, a fresh set of eyes for the audience to vibe with. So you get the discovery again, which is something that wouldn't happen if Megan came back."

Yet he still counts Fox as a good friend, and praised her turns in the first two "Transformers" flicks. As for Huntington-Whiteley, who will make her acting debut in the new film, LaBeouf said she's "doing great," though there's little he could do to prepare her for the experience of working with famously fiery director Michael Bay.

"You can only do so much," he laughed. "Fight or flight. A tap on the back and a 'Good luck!' "

Transformers 3 star Rosie Huntington-Whiteley 'doing great' says Shia LaBeouf

Shia LaBeouf has joked that there was little he could do to prepare Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for the experience of working with the director of Transformers 3.

The lingerie model was cast in the movie after Megan Fox, who played feisty Mikaela Banes in the two previous films, decided not to return for the third instalment.

He told MTV.com that Rosie was "doing great" and said of preparing her for director Michael Bay, who has a demanding reputation on set: "You can only do so much. Fight or flight. A tap on the back and a 'Good luck!'".

The 24-year-old reckons there are pros and cons to Megan Fox not being in Transformers 3.

He said: "I think there's positives and negatives to her not being (in the movie) - it's awesome that we get the discovery again."

He added: "It's kind of beautiful in that we get a new set of eyes, a fresh set of eyes for the audience to vibe with, so you get the discovery again, which is something that wouldn't happen if Megan came back."

Trouble on Transformers Set: Production Shut Down After Serious Injury

An extra was hospitalized Wednesday evening after suffering a severe head injury during filming of a stunt that went awry.

According to the Indiana State Police, the woman, who was not part of the stunt team was behind the wheel of a car when an object smashed through her windshield.

"Preliminary investigation revealed that shortly before 7 p.m, the movie crew was filming a stunt using numerous vehicles and drivers," authorities said in a statement. "During this stunt, an object struck a 2006 Toyota, hitting the vehicle, and then went through the windshield hitting the driver."

Her car in turn plowed into a median barrier wall and continued on about a mile before coming to a halt.

A local ABC affiliate identified the victim as 24-year-old Gabriela Cedillo and quoted a fellow extra as saying she had been injured by a tow cable that came loose.

"The vehicle was being towed by another vehicle," extra Blaine Baker told the station. "The cable between the two vehicles broke. It whipped around and sliced through the woman's car and sliced through her skull, apparently."

Production was immediately suspended, and Cedillo was airlifted to Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, Ill., in critical condition. The hospital would not comment on her current status.

Police are probing the mishap. Reps for Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks, the studios coreleasing Transformers 3, have yet to comment.

The Michael Bay-directed flick, starring Shia LaBeouf and newcomer Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (in place of the departed Megan Fox), had been scheduled to film today in Chicago's Millennium Park. But that shoot has since been canceled and it's unknown if the accident played a role in that decision.

Transformers 3: Shia LaBeouf and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley filmed kissing (video)

Shia LaBeouf was spotted kissing co-star Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as they filmed a romantic scene for the new Transformers movie.

The pair were caught on camera smooching on the Lasalle bridge in Chicago last weekend.

Whiteley was dressed in a white blouse teamed with skinny jeans while LaBeouf wore a leather jacket and jeans.

LaBeouf reprises his role as Sam Witwicky in Transformers 3 and Huntington-Whiteley has replaced Megan Fox as his love interest.

Her role has not yet been announced but reports suggest that she plays Carly, who is the woman who becomes Witwicky's wife in the animated series.

Transformers 3 is due out in the US on July 1, 2011.
