Transformers movie filming delayed in Milwaukee

Parts of the upcoming Transformers 3 movie are being shot in Milwaukee over the next couple weeks, but one of the locations will be delayed. The Milwaukee Public Museum and the Tower Automotive plant have been tagged as locations for the movie, and as a result brought hundreds of Milwaukee hopefuls who lined up for a chance to be an extra in the film.  Scenes from Tower will be delayed until August as representatives from the city are still negotiating the details with the production company for that particular location because of possible pyrotechnics.

About 150 people related to the movie (producers, actors, and even director Michael Bay) will be on hand starting next week, July 12th, to help film the Museum scenes. The scenes will include dialogue (as opposed to be something related to "B" roll for background) and will reportedly include the movie's principal actors, which include Shia LaBeouf, Tyrese Gibson and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

Ehren Kruger has written the screenplay for the movie. Kruger has also penned previous Transformers movie in addition to The Skeleton Key, The Ring and The Ring Two, and Scream 3, among other movies. The movie will be released July 2011.
